Roadmap

We're building the best freediving app possible.

These are the major things we're working on towards that vision. If you have any thoughts on how we can improve, then please let us know.

Depth below 20 feet (6 meters)

Apple has stringent conditions that must be met before providing any app with access to depth data below 20 feet. We respect this, as your safety is the priority.

One of those conditions is that Blue Infinity must be certified by an external company to a European standard – EN13319. We're currently pursuing companies to complete this testing for us.

We also have to work with Apple to prove that our design and development processes are sound and that we can detect and respond to any software issues promptly.

We understand that 20 feet is not much for freedivers, and that's why this is our number one priority.

In beta

Pool mode

Freedivers typically train in a pool more often than they do in open water.

That's why pool mode was always a priority and we're thrilled to have a beta working to test.

Automatic dynamic dives detected with dive time and distance. Simple scroll to start and end a static dive. Haptics to help track time during a static and after surfacing.

With all the stats and charts you want when you dry off and the ability to edit and trim sessions and individual dives.

Map marking and wayfinding

This one is the most challenging, but we're up for it.

We've heard a lot (from spearos in particular) that they want to be able to mark spots while in the water and a way to navigate to those spots easily.

Given the very limited ways to interact with the Apple Watch when in water lock mode, this one is a challenge but we're going to explore options.
